With the Wind, PRMI’s retreat for post-high school emerging adults, is a unique expression of the Dunamis Project.

Teaching for this summer’s retreat focused on the person and work of the Holy Spirit and an introduction to the  Dance of Cooperation.

Now in its sixth year, With the Wind is designed to call out and encourage gifts in rising leaders and to give them opportunities to practice and grow.

This year there were several returning participants in leadership roles and new participants from the far reaches of the continent (Edmonton to Florida!).   Multiple private prayer appointments in the afternoon gave opportunity for the Lord to meet young leaders personally with His love and healing; the testimony time during closing worship featured many stories of how God met these young leaders.

Laughter and Grace

Learning the dance steps

This year, we welcomed some friends of PRMI to teach on partner dancing out under the big tent during an evening session.

There was much laughter and grace as the participants and leaders stepped out and took risks to learn and participate in merengue, swing, and much more.

The experience of learning to dance in a framework of freedom instead of performance was amplified in the next morning’s teaching on the dance of cooperation with the Holy Spirit, as participants were able to name and relate to the teaching through their recent experience.

At the final debrief around the lunch table, everyone remarked what a blessing it was just being together — how it had filled them and sparked thanksgiving. God continues to expand and deepen the koinonia among this growing part of our PRMI family.  All praise to Him!

Lives Changed

“My experience at With The Wind was one of joy, peace, growth and blessing. The week for me was defined by wholeness, of being ministered to in soul, mind and body.

Morning prayer, daily devotions and afternoon prayer meetings served to nourish the soul in comfort and love. Daily teachings, strongly rooted in the Bible and a rich heritage of theology were a delight to dwell upon and answered the burning questions I was dealing with.

And finally, the fellowship and mealtimes fostered and reinforced a community of believers to love and support each other going forward. The entire week was defined by a loving, open invitation to come and join in a beautiful dance with our good, good Father. It was an experience I will not soon forget, one I cannot wait to revisit next summer!”
