Have you ever wondered how people get involved in Dunamis or how it has impacted their life and ministry?

As a regular series on here, we’ll share “Stories of Dunamis.”

These first hand stories will help you know what Dunamis is about, the blessings of attending a local Dunamis Track, and occasionally how to get more information on attending a Dunamis near you.

Read more on Pastor James Kearney’s experience with Dunamis, interviewed by Chris Walker.

Pastor James:

Why Dunamis?

I (Pastor James) connected with Dunamis because I found myself in the Pacific North West needing more firepower for ministry in that very secular environment. PRMI gave us solid teaching on the person, work, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, as well as following the lead of the Spirit, in a way that made sense with our ministry’s Reformed church theology and culture.

How Did Dunamis Impact Your Ministry?

It gave my ministry more firepower. In seminary, I learned tools for building the church that were like hand tools. But I needed more to be able to help folks make the life changes necessary to follow Jesus in the NW.

Dunamis empowered them to do just that, in a Biblical context that opened up the person and work of the Holy Spirit in a way that wasn’t spectacular, but practical and powerful for building the kingdom of God.
