“The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.” -John 3:8
With the Wind is a spiritual formation retreat for young adults (ages 18-30) to grow in faith and knowledge of God in a small community setting.
You will join together with older Christians who love to serve you so that you might receive encouragement and engage in being equipped for every good work (II Timothy 3:14-16).
You will be gathering as a group of young adults to learn more about what life looks like in the Holy Spirit’s power. You will explore what it means to cooperate with the Holy Spirit. There will be times of fellowship and discussions, Spirit-led worship, and opportunity to meet with God on the mountain trails.
The teaching for this event is based in Scripture. We will be looking specifically at what it means to cooperate with the Holy Spirit to do the work of Jesus Christ in a way that focuses on real life application and participation within the context.

Check-in begins at 1:00 pm on the 20th and the event concludes at lunchtime on Saturday the 24th.

With the Wind is a ministry of Presbyterian-Reformed Ministries International and is a faith-based run organization. What that means is that we rely on the offerings and gifts of faith-filled believers like yourself to keep our ministries running. At Upward Challenge there are many costs to consider like, food, supplies, equipment, travel expenses, and staff compensation. We estimate that it would cost us around $300 per participant to run With the Wind. We trust and know that the Lord will provide the funds we need to have this ministry because He has called us to do it. Everyone who is called to attend, whether they give an offering or gift, is allowed to attend if they feel led to do so. We never want money to be an issue between you attending one of our events or not. We ask that you and your family prayerfully consider how to contribute to this ministry. Here are some ideas on ways you can give to the ministry:
Sustain the Flame-You can designate the amount of your offering or gift to be electronically withdrawn
from your account monthly. When signing up, make sure to notate your giving to “Youth & Young Adult Ministries”
Onetime Gift- Giving what the Lord calls through cash, check or card for a onetime gift. Please designate
the gift to “Youth & Young Adult Ministries”
Offering Raising- We recommend fundraising to raise your offering/gift. You can host a fundraiser dinner
night at your church, write letters to friends and family asking for support, get church endorsements or many other various activities to “raise” what you would like to contribute.

Housing
This year we are asking everyone to procure their own accommodations. That means, find a place to sleep and rest on your own. But don’t worry some helpful advice is listed below.

Speakers:
Rev. Martin Boardman
Rev. Martin Boardman is an ordained minister of Word and Sacrament in the Christian Reformed Church and pastored in Southern Alberta before the Lord opened the door to become Dunamis Fellowship Canada’s Prayer Mobilizer working closely with PRMI in January 2017.
Dunamis answered the questions that he had about the Holy Spirit. It explained some of his life experiences in a systematic and Biblical way and opened the door to drawing closer in intimacy with the Lord. He is still putting in to practice some of the suggestions which were shared during that time.
As a result of his involvement in those Dunamis Weekends Martin became more involved with the work of PRMI and was a part of the founding board for Dunamis Fellowship Canada.
Mary Ellen Conners
After experiencing the Dunamis Project’s ministry, Mary Ellen joined the staff in 2004. She has extensive experience in intercessory prayer and prayer ministry, both as a teacher and as a team leader.
Rev. Rebecca Modrzynski
Rev. Rebecca Modrzynski is the Coordinator of Healing Prayer Ministry at the Community of the Cross.
She attended her first Dunamis Project as a child in which she experienced God’s presence and love. She saw God’s activity in her life and through the Dunamis teaching, began to understand His empowerment and call.
Her vision and prayer is that the Community of the Cross continues to expand in being a place where individuals experience the transforming power of Jesus Christ and receive His healing through prayer ministry. I am excited to see how God develops and nurtures the local prayer minister community.
