Description

The invitation from Jesus to join him in healing ministry is exciting and sometimes intimidating. People make themselves vulnerable by inviting us into the pain, hurt and crisis in their lives.

Would you like to have opportunity to grow in this ministry?  Would you like the security of “practicing” in an environment where experienced mentors can help and advise you?  Do you want to better understand how Jesus “did it?”

“When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority … and he sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.”   Luke 9:1-2  NIV

Like any kind of prayer, healing prayer can be so simple that a 4-yr-old child can do it and see answers, and at the same time there is always more to learn.  One reason is that Jesus calls us to not just fix a person’s illness or problems, but to love them and call them on in discipleship.

The Advanced Course on Healing and Deliverance provides the opportunity to go deeper, see how your gifts can function in team ministry, and see the depth and breadth of God’s healing power. This workshop is designed for those who have been through both the Healing and Spiritual Warfare Dunamis projects and want to go deeper in healing ministry.

This first workshop will focus on intensive review and practice of principles from Dunamis Projects on Healing (#4) and Spiritual Warfare (#5).

Note:

This workshop is part 1 of a year-long course that involves

  • attending three workshops in Black Mountain,
  • mentoring,
  • required reading and
  • practical experience.

Location

Community of the Cross in Black Mountain.

3227 North Fork Left Fork Road, Black Mountain, NC 28711

Dates:

  • Part 1: March 2-7, 2021
  • Part 2: September 14-19, 2021
  • Part 3 and Graduation: TBD

Mentoring

Once accepted, you will be assigned a mentor. These are men and women from the Dunamis Fellowship who have gifts in healing and deliverance ministry. The mentors will review your work and give feedback each month.  Face-to-face meetings with your mentor typically happen at the workshop times in North Carolina.

Required Reading:

As part of the course, you will be required to read 8 to 10 books and write brief reflection reports on each book. These books are from a variety of perspectives on healing and deliverance ministry and will be consistent with the PRMI approach to prayer ministry.  Most are required texts, but at least one will be negotiated with the mentor based on your interests and needs.

Kingdom Project

If accepted, you will develop a project involving healing ministry in your local context.   Some examples may be building a healing prayer team for the local congregation or leading ministry at a Dunamis Project event. The project must be approved by your mentor.

You learn to cooperate with the Holy Spirit in Jesus’ ministry of healing and deliverance through practical experience.   You are encouraged to be involved in healing and deliverance prayer ministry in your local church context.   You are also welcomed to be on ministry teams at PRMI events such as the Dunamis Project.  This will need to be arranged with the local Dunamis track coordinators.

Prerequisites

Generally, applicants must have completed all six units of the Dunamis Project.  Some exceptions may be allowed at the discretion of the director.

You must fill out the written application and submit it to the director per the instructions on the applications.

As part of the application, you must include a letter of affirmation from a pastor or other leader.  Details are in the application.

Application

You must apply for this course and be accepted.
