PRMI recognized by Messianic community in 2019 at Tikkun America.
Tikkun America is part of Tikkun International, a global family of ministries, congregations and leaders, dedicated to the dual restoration of Israel and the church.
Just like PRMI they seek to achieve this through an intentional focus on the empowering work of the Holy Spirit.
In some ways we could simply say that Tikkun International is similar to a PRMI of the Messianic community.
Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
Ecclesiastes 4:12
PRMI and Tikkun are two ministries which the Holy Spirit has been weaving together to form a cord of three strands through our shared vision and passion to see God’s kingdom advanced through the empowering work of the Holy Spirit.
Fostering Friendships
Since 2013, PRMI has developed a relationship with Tikkun, both in Israel, through Revive Israel and with Tikkun America.
These relationships have continued to grow and deepen during this time as we have grown in our understanding and love for the Messianic Jewish community.
In turn the Tikkun family has grown in appreciation of our systematic teaching on the Holy Spirit and the importance of prioritizing prayer.
PRMI was able to share this by providing event intercession for the Alignment Conference in March, 2019.
The team also provided intercessory cover for a couple of sessions at the Leadership conference.
This was an opportunity to serve Tikkun and model event intercession for these key leaders within this organization.
Impact of Intercession
Throughout that March weekend, the team was repeatedly thanked for providing intercession at both these events.
We heard again and again about how the prayer cover shifted the spiritual atmosphere, which confirmed once more how important event intercession is, and how blessed PRMI is to have this as a regular part of all our events.
Acknowledging where we have been
At the end of May 2019, a PRMI team consisting of Brad Long, Cindy Strickler, Martin Boardman and Doug and Carla McMurry attended the 2019 Tikkun America Leadership Conference.
As part of the development of this ongoing relationship, PRMI was recognized publicly for our cooperation with Tikkun.
The team was presented with a plaque and were prayed over by the senior leaders.
PRMI is the first organization to receive such recognition by Tikkun. This is a big honour and a recognition of the time and energy that has been required to build these relationships in a healthy and proper manner.
Looking ahead to future cooperation
The PRMI team met over lunch with key leaders of Tikkun. We looked at how we can move forward together in ministry, while maintaining our own ministry uniqueness.
The lunch meeting was extremely productive in looking at ways to cooperate together and introduce the Dunamis teaching to the wider body of Tikkun.
It will be exciting to watch how our two ministries will continue to grow stronger as we work together.
