St. Paul, often asked his intercessors to pray for doors to open. For example, “And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. (Colossians 4:3 NIV) We need you to join us in praying for open doors for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and then when they do open the guidance and the means to go through them!
We ask you to be led by the Holy Spirit in to how to pray this week. We are very focused right now on preparing for and implementing the summer events. At the same time we are having to prepare for the fall events and do strategic planning seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit for 2010 and beyond.
Please pray for open doors into those parts of Asia where the church is growing where there is great need for equipping. Some Dunamis Fellowship members are exploring opportunities. We are also continuing to pray for open doors in the Islamic world for equipping witnesses to Jesus Christ.
The Healing Prayer Week at the Community of the Cross was last week. This was an amazing time of growing in Jesus’ healing ministry. We had a team gathered from throughout the US and one member from the UK. People came to be prayed for from all over North America as well as right here in town. Amazing things happened (see the next issue of MWS online). Please pray for all who participated as they return home and live out what they experienced.
Please Join Us In Giving Praise!
Last week I sent out a prayer support letter asking you to pray for financial gifts – we really need help to get through the summer months when giving is so low. We have received some wonderful gifts. One very happy surprise was a gift of $11,000 US given at the Growing the Church workshop. We were so blessed and we ask God’s blessing on all who make this work possible by prayer, giving and participation.
Pray that this email MWS will be anointed and used by the Holy Spirit to equip Christians around the world for more effective witness to Jesus Christ.
