There are many dimensions to building the Prayer House at the Community of the Cross.

First, there is the spiritual reality – which is doing the work of prayer and receiving guidance from the Holy Spirit. This is PRMI’s area!

Second, there is shaping the physical reality – the site work, water, expanding the road, and then actually building the Prayer House itself.

I was intensely aware of the Holy Spirit moving on us together to accomplish this at a meeting held at the Community of the Cross on August 22, 2018.

Our architect, John Yurko, called together a meeting of the contractors who will be doing the work of preparing the site for the Prayer House.

This is the water, the sewage, widening our gravel road, landscaping, storm water and on and on, to meet the fire and environmental code.

This is at least $205,000 above the $800,000 we’ve been praying in for the construction of the Prayer House at the Community of the Cross.

As we gathered around the table at the log house we started with prayer. I suspect that some of them had never started a construction meeting with prayer before. But they all sincerely and reverently joined.

Later they expressed to me the excitement that they had for this building project, how it was going to be beautiful and useful, for the advancement of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.

We hope to have the Prayer House Open for events by June 2019.

Please join us in praying for the following:

  • Pray for the anointing of the Holy Spirit upon this entire team to shape the grounds and construct the building for the Kingdom of God and the Glory of God.
  • For the families and business of all who are joining in this work. We want this to be a blessing for them all!
  • Give thanks for the $731,000 that has already been given of which we have spent $196,000.
  • Pray for the major financial provision needed to complete all phases of this project. Please pray for $800,000 more in provisions to come in 2018!
  • Guide us all in this building project that is not just of a building but the work of prayer and ministry for advancing the Kingdom of Jesus Christ for the glory of God the Father.
  • Pray for the permissions still needed to secure permits in all the different phases that will be needed. Pray for those in authority, that our plans would find favor and that no plans would be opposed or delayed.

Thanks for joining us in this incredible work of building the Community of the Cross as a Place of Encounter with Jesus Christ for Prayer, Equipping and Sending.
