When the Lord first birthed the vision of the Community of the Cross, He told us, “A place of prayer must be built through prayer.”
Just up from the Log House and Office, we constructed a deck with a screened in porch for the work of prayer as one of our first building projects.
Individuals and groups have utilized this sacred space to pray during the various events that happen at the Community of the Cross.
Praying on the Porch, September 2010
The prayer deck and porch was built by Arthur Horton and Brewster Ward, who are both men of prayer.
Brewster prayed for the design and Arthur prayed for the guidance of how to practically build what Brewster is envisioning. They both built this place for Jesus. A team of volunteers from Clinchfield Presbyterian Church joined in putting it up.
