Christian Zebley

Rev. Christian and Kay Zebley have served in Japan as Presbyterian missionaries since 1998.

They returned to the States from 2006-2014 and served in Los Angeles, California and Montreat, North Carolina.

They developed Global Leadership Dynamics in partnership with PRMI from 2011-2013 before redeploying to Japan.

Across the Nations

The Zebleys currently live and serve in Japan through a partnership with the Japan Presbyterian Mission (MTW). 

Redeemer Church of Roppongi is being developed in partnership with West Tokyo Union Church in Mitaka (where Christian serves as part-time pastor). Along with Redeemer Presbyterian Church in NYC through the Redeemer City-to-City Asia church planting network.

They are also members of JEMA, the Japanese Missionary Evangelical Association. They are prayed for and supported by congregations and individuals across the United States, Japan and other nations. 

Christian is a member of the JEMA Prayer Commission.

Their prayer is to be a visible witness of unity among followers of Jesus Christ across denominations.

They are happy to be the parents of Anna, Emma, Kristina, Isaiah, Abigail and Molly Zebley.

Christian is ordained in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC) and a member of the Presbytery of the Mid-Atlantic.

He is a graduate of:

  • Swarthmore College, Bachelors of Arts in Economics
  • Princeton Theological Seminary, Master of Divinity
  • As of November 2020, working on his thesis in the Doctor of Ministry in Leadership at Denver Seminary

He graduated from the City to City Asia Pacific Church Planter Intensive in July, 2015. Zebley served with Grace City Church Tokyo as a church planter intern from 2015-2016.
