Praise and Worship of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit

We are created for relationship with our God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Let us, therefore, keep the Sabbath day holy, the day on which we rest from our everyday work, so that we can worship the Lord both alone and together in our families and congregations.

Revelation 1: 4b‐8

Grace and peace to you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come,
and from the seven spirits before his throne, nd from Jesus Christ, who is
the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings
of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his
blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and
Father‐‐to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen. Look, he is
coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced
him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it
be! Amen. “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and
who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Jesus is coming again! Consider the glorious day when Jesus returns to establish His kingdom forever. He will present us to the Father in the power of the Holy Spirit as His redeemed daughters and sons. Let us rest today from all else to contemplate in the Lord’s presence His wondrous love and gracious faithfulness. Close your prayer with the Lord’s Prayer.

Prayer Points

As God did after six days of the work of creation, step back from all this labor of prayer and make it a day entirely focused of giving pray and worship to God the Father Son and Holy Spirit.

Follow St. Paul’s directions:

  • 1 Corinthians 14:15 So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my understanding; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my understanding. NIV
  • Take part in cooperate worship with others in your local congregation.
  • As led by the Holy Spirit and appropriate to your context, follow St. Paul’s directors for cooperate worship.
  • 1 Corinthians 14:26 What then shall we say, brothers and sisters? When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. Everything must be done so that the church may be built up. NET
