In October 2017, the largest Dunamis Project held to date in Nicaragua met in a residential house in the city of Matagalpa. Because of the crowd, we met outside under tents.
As long as the rain stayed away, the cool mountain air and the shade from the tent kept us cool and refreshed. We enjoyed the teaching on prayer and the work of praying with and for each other.
This Dunamis Project 3 marked more milestones in the development of the Spanish Mobile Dunamis:
- Manual 3 has been translated to “rough draft” stage.
- Manuals 1 and 2 are in the final review for punctuation.
- Slides for Dunamis Projects 1 and 2 are finished with standardized formatting and available in both standard 4:3 format as well as 16:9 wide screen format.
What is the most exciting part?
This group shared in the excitement of the offering night when we turned out the lights after a time of worship. I hit play on my laptop that would show the first glimpse of the Spanish Mobile Dunamis on a wall.
I trembled with both fear and excitement as the light shown on the wall.
There we were, as a group, seeing the first videos from the Spanish Mobile Dunamis as part of the call for the offering.
After the preview, a first time visitor stood up and invited the group to own this project, to give sacrificially for it, and then called the group to pray for me and the team working on the Spanish mobile Dunamis.
The Holy Spirit fell upon us as we all entered into a time of intense prayer for this project.
We cried out to God for provision (about $50,000 a unit), for more open doors, and for the wind of the Spirit to spread this Dunamis teaching far and wide.
Then came the offering
The offering was received, and it was the most generous offering ever received at a Dunamis Event in Nicaragua, almost 4x the historical norm for the offering.
On top of that, the churches involved and a few other people collected a special offering over the course of 6 months to pay for a plane ticket for me to come.
Before that, they raised some money towards the airfare for two of their members to attend the Dunamis Fellowship International Meeting in 2017.
What I see
I see this Nicaraguan Dunamis community taking an ownership in the Spanish Mobile Dunamis.
They give sacrificially for it, they look forward to the updates, and some of them will be appearing in it at a later date.
This group has moved beyond attending an event to being part of a community that is finding ways to give themselves away and bless the world.
- Already, this community has done 7 ignites.
- Three more planned for February / March of 2018.
- Dunamis Project 4: The Healing Ministry of Jesus will be March 5-9, 2018.
