Dunamis Project #1: Gateways To Empowered Ministry — Atlanta, GA

October 16 - October 20

Are we on the cusp of the next Great Awakening? Many believe that we are! As we host the Gateways to Empowered Ministry Conference for the Atlanta area in Dahlonega, GA, we pray that we could be a spark to ignite the flames of revival in our area.

The Spirit-empowered evangelist, Smith Wigglesworth prophesied that the next great revival would occur with a coming together of those with an emphasis on the Word and those with an emphasis on the Spirit. “When the Word and the Spirit come together, there will be the biggest move of the Holy Spirit that the nations, and indeed, the world have ever seen.” We believe the Dunamis Projects are ordained to be a part of this coming together of the Word and the Spirit.

Rev. Dr. Brad Long in his new book Igniting Revivals in the Power of the Holy Spirit, enumerates three phases of revival. They are preparing the altar, igniting the flame and sustaining the flame.

To prepare the altar we seek to create a context for participants to learn more about the Holy Spirit and how He empowers our lives when we live in cooperation with Him. The first of six Dunamis Projects, Gateways to Empowered Ministry, looks at a Scriptural view of the person and work of the Holy Spirit. The event will include Spirit-filled worship, systematic biblical teaching, and opportunities for personal prayer ministry. Dynamic fellowship is created through interactive “lab” times, “de-briefing” after action reviews, and around family-style meals.

To ignite the flame we are taught how to depend upon the Holy Spirit, and times are scheduled to receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit, spiritual gifts, or fresh in-fillings of the Spirit. Our prayer is that every participant will have a Pentecost-like event that empowers them to live lives worthy of our glorious Lord Jesus Christ!

To sustain the flame every attendee is given free of charge an extensive, Biblically based manual for study and equipping to enable us to do the “works of His ministry.”

The series of six Dunamis Project conferences builds upon the equipping process through teaching on the gifts of the Spirit, prayer, the healing ministry of Jesus, spiritual warfare and listening evangelism.

This first of the six conferences, Gateways to Empowered Ministry, targets the Atlanta area and will be held in beautiful Dahlonega, GA. The venue is Camp Glisson. Right beside our conference center are the lovely Cane Creek Falls. In the middle of October, the Fall foliage will be colorful. Dahlonega will be celebrating its Gold Festival during this time, so we strongly encourage booking your lodging early. The Quality Inn has set aside discounted rooms for our conference, and there are many reasonable VRBO and Air BnB offerings.

Comments from recent participants:

“The teaching on the Holy Spirit ‘within’ and ‘upon’ was the best I have heard.”

“Wonderful pulling together of Biblical instruction about the Holy Spirit.”

“What was most helpful? The teaching, the prayer, the atmosphere of community.”

“You’ve given me a biblical grid to understand my experience of the Holy Spirit.”

By the end of the first Dunamis Project, you will have a sound, Biblically-based knowledge of

  • Who the Holy Spirit is.
  • What the role of the Holy Spirit is today.
  • What it means to be filled with the Spirit.

You’ll cover topics like:

  • Worldview
  • The Holy Spirit and the Trinity
  • The Holy Spirit in the Old Testament
  • Jesus and the Holy Spirit
  • The Four Basic Works of the Holy Spirit
  • The Infilling With the Holy Spirit
  • The Nature and Experience of the Holy Spirit’s Power
  • Receiving and Growing in the Power of the Holy Spirit

Whether you have reached a place in your Christian faith or ministry where it feels like you are trying to do too much on your own, or you are simply curious or skeptical about the nature and work of the Holy Spirit for today, this conference is a fantastic way to begin your journey in cooperating with the work of God.
