The 2023-24 Advanced Course on Healing and Deliverance is a year-long process involving attending three workshops in Black Mountain, mentoring, reading, and hands-on experience. Each student who is accepted into the year-long course will be paired with a mentor. These men and women are members of the Dunamis Fellowship International and have healing and deliverance ministry gifts. Each month, the mentors will review the student’s work and provide feedback. Face-to-face meetings may only take place during the workshop times in North Carolina.
This course is intended for those who want to grow in healing ministry and have completed Dunamis Project #4: Jesus’ Healing Ministry and Dunamis Project #5: Equipping for Spiritual Warfare, and/or PRMI’s Intermediate Course on Healing and Deliverance. Those without these prerequisites will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
All students must read the following materials in preparation for the course:
The first week of the course is Oct. 31 to Nov. 5, 2023, at the Community of the Cross in Black Mountain, NC. Seminars will cover PRMI’s teaching on healing and deliverance ministry. In the afternoons, students will meet in small groups and practice prayer ministry under the supervision and direction of their mentors.
Through practical experience, one learns to cooperate with the Holy Spirit in Jesus’ ministry of healing and deliverance. As a result, all students are encouraged to participate in healing and deliverance prayer ministry in their local setting.
ACHD course participants can also serve on ministry teams at PRMI events like the Dunamis Project; this would need to be coordinated with the local Dunamis track directors prior to the event.
Each student will create a project that involves applying what they are learning in their local community. Building a healing prayer team for the local congregation or leading ministry at a Dunamis Project event are two examples. The mentor of the student must approve the project. During the November meetings, project ideas and topics will be suggested and discussed.
During the second week in Black Mountain, Feb. 6-11, 2024, specialized topics will be presented such as alternative medicine, prayer for children, healing from depression, etc. The course director will arrange these topics based on group interests and needs.
Students will return to Black Mountain, Nov. 1-5, 2024, when they will present their projects and celebrate the completion of the course.
There is no tuition charged for the course. It is offered on a faith basis. However, to cover the travel of the mentors, worship leaders, teachers, and the facility resources (including meals while at the in-person meetings) students are encouraged to give offerings during the onsite events and/or send monthly gifts. We estimate the cost per student is roughly $3,500; this amount does not include the cost to the student of materials and their own travel to the Community of the Cross.
Students are encouraged to pray about what they can contribute to the course. No one will be excluded from the course who is called to come.
Students interested in taking this course must apply and be accepted. After reviewing your application, we will contact you.
The application deadline to apply for this year-long course is September 15th, 2023.
