Dunamis Institute

The Dunamis Institute was formally established November of 2010.  The teaching approach, programs and the faculty who provide the teaching however have been developed for many decades.  First with R.A. Torrey in 1890-1910, The Rev. Archer Torrey in Korea at Jesus Abbey in  from 1966- 2002.  Dr. Brad Long – in Taiwan with the Presbyterian Lay Training Center 1980 – 1989.  This stream was merged with the stream of Presbyterian-Reformed Ministries International (Formally Presbyterian Charismatic Communion )  when Dr. Brad Long became Executive  Director in 1990 and launched the Dunamis Project in 1991.

Since 1990 this equipping ministry and teaching materials have been developed and expanded worldwide through Presbyterian-Reformed Ministries Dunamis Project.  The faculty has been developed through the Dunamis Fellowship International which is a missionary order of men and women anointed by the Holy Spirit to provide this teaching and ministry worldwide.   These spiritual, people and educational assets have been brought under the Institute and enable us to offer a well developed curriculum which is grounded in the Bible, based on a Reformed theological framework, and time tested to be transferable and effective in many different cultural contexts.
