A 2020 Prayer Campaign for Healing and Restoration
We are calling this prayer and giving campaign: Healing of America’s Soul and the West.
Evangelical ministries throughout the world are taking their place in bringing the healing of Jesus Christ to where they have influence: gathering people for intercessory prayer and worship, preaching the gospel, working for causes of biblical justice, and developing resources and materials to equip others to advance the Kingdom of God where they are.
We praise God for ministries and churches that are stepping into these issues, bringing the hope, love, and message of Jesus Christ.
From August through November 2020, you are invited to join many others in PRMI through a season of focused intercessory prayer leading up to the elections in the USA.
The restoration of America’s historic commitment to dependence upon God is desperately needed.
The country needs His guidance, security, and the dignity He has given to all people.
This is a prayer campaign that seeks to ask God to preserve the biblical Judeo-Christian values that serve as the foundation for the United States and Western Culture.
This is a prayer campaign that seeks to bring PRMI’s Dunamis teaching on the Healing Ministry of Jesus Christ to issues of racism, racial injustice, and bringing healing to the national wounds of racism in the United States.
It is a call for repentance, healing, and restoration for us, based on God’s promise found in 2 Chronicles 7:13-14:
When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

What if I’m Not in the USA?
You can still be involved in prayer for this country.
The crises in the USA are happening in other nations around the world.
However, over the next few months, the USA is the epicenter of a colossal spiritual battle with global repercussions for the Kingdom of God.
In the spiritual and political realm, I believe our current circumstances are comparable to 1940-to mid-1941 against the onslaught of Nazi Germany.
During the battle of Dunkirk (May and June of 1940), Winston Churchill stood nearly alone in the political sphere, unmasking the monstrous evil of Nazism and resisting the chorus of those clamoring for appeasement and surrender.
In the spiritual realm, Rees Howells and the motley band of intercessors at the Bible College of Wales were busily interceding. Day and night, they raised the prayer shield against the demonic strongholds of Nazism poised to engulf England. In prayer, they faced the dangers presented both through the threat of military invasion and through subversion by appeasement within. In the authority of Jesus Christ, they bound the Devil manifesting through Hitler.

America is in desperate need of your prayers in this critical point of its history, and in these months leading up until the 2020 election. I feel America is very vulnerable and is in great danger right now.

Campaign Framework: Pray “Thy Kingdom Come”
This call to prayer consists of two great movements, using the framework of “Thy Kingdom Come,” from the Lord’s Prayer.
The Heidelberg Catechism (Lord’s Day 48), maps out the framework we will use:
Q. What is the second petition?
A. Your kingdom come.
That is:
Rule us by your Word and Spirit that more and more we submit to you.
Preserve and increase your church.
Destroy the works of the devil, every power that raises itself against you, and every conspiracy against your holy Word.
Do all this until the fullness of your kingdom comes, wherein you shall be all in all.
1. Pray in an Outpouring of the Holy Spirit
“Rule us by your Word and Spirit… Preserve and increase your Church.”
We pray for the outpouring for the Holy Spirit. We pray for revival. We pray that the hearts of people, beginning with those of Biblical faith – Jews and Christians – would be moved to repentance for our sins of neglect, self-centeredness, and disregard for others’ welfare. As hearts are changed, right action can follow.
As Dr. Leighton Ford, Presbyterian evangelist and mentor, has said, “The heart of the problem is the problem of the human heart.” Only Christ the Messiah can bring spiritual healing and the desire to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God and each other (Micah 6:8).
2. Pray Out the Works of the Devil
“Destroy the works of the devil.”
Spiritual strongholds are bringing division to the United States and block the advancement of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
This prayer work includes discerning, unmasking, and interceding towards tearing down and defeating the demonic strongholds being built by Satan.
Five Areas of Prayer
The campaign of Healing of America’s Soul includes praying for major areas of our nation’s life where the healing ministry of Jesus Christ – physical, emotional, and spiritual – can be brought by Holy Spirit empowered followers of Jesus Christ.
We have identified five specific areas of prayer to be involved in:
1. Overcoming the Effects of Covid-19
Pray that the impact of Covid-19 would be overcome through the healing ministry of Jesus Christ. Not just physical healing, but the healing from all the related devastation to families, businesses, and society as a whole. This will include prayers for a restoration of the bonds of love and friendship within the nation, so that all citizens can care for one another’s health.
2. Bring Empowered Leaders in their Spheres
Pray for the empowering of political, governmental, business, educational, religious, and other cultural leaders who embody and uphold Judeo-Christian values. These leaders need to be empowered by the Holy Spirit to actively work to restore these values in the areas of their sphere of influence.
We are guided by Paul’s admonition in 1 Timothy 2 to pray for our leaders:
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior.

Paul used nearly every possible word for prayer to stress its importance. We pray for our leaders in these spheres so we will live in stable society.
3. Bring Healing from Racial Injustice
We need to pray for the healing of wounds from past and present racial injustice. We need to call the Church to take moral leadership in proclaiming the value of all persons as being created by God in His image.
In addition, we need to pray for the unmasking and the removal of any spiritual grounds which allow evil spirits and anti-Judeo-Christian ideologies to use these wounds to create division and destruction.
This area of prayer and ministry is where the extension of the PRMI Dunamis Project on the healing ministry of Jesus Christ will be developed and distributed.
4. Pray for Unity
We need to pray for God to bring healing of the USA’s divisions and polarization by the power of the Holy Spirit and in the Name of Jesus Christ to remove from our land the spirits of hated, rebellion and disunity.
5. Pray for an Ignited Church
We need to pray for the Church to be ignited in the power of the Holy Spirit.
We need to pray that the Church would stand up and be the hands, feet, and voice of Jesus Christ.
We need to pray that the Church would see our present challenges as opportunities to reach out with the good news about Jesus and His transforming power, thus advancing the Kingdom of God. We must all love like Jesus!
Ways You Can Join Others in Prayer
There are several opportunities to get involved in this work of prayer.
1. Global Prayer Call
Join the PRMI Global Prayer Call as we pray into dealing with the effects of COVID 19.
The prayer calls on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays at 12:00 noon Eastern (adjust for your time zone) focus on praying for the recovery of the economy, a global harvest for the Kingdom of God, the renewal of the church and for the healing of our culture.
2. The Mountain Top Equipping Camp (Online), August 20-22, 2020
The Virtual Mountain Top Equipping Camp, August 20-22, 2020 will be cooperating with the Holy Spirit in intercession and spiritual warfare to bring the healing ministry of Jesus to the wounds of past and present racial injustice.
Prayer times will pray for the fulfillment of Martin Luther King Jr.’s prophetic vision for America expressed his “I have a dream” speech, which was based on the Bible and America’s founding documents, “that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights…”
3. Cohorts and Prayer Networks
We will be developing a number of prayer networks and cohorts to pray further into these areas.
Pray for PRMI
We are convinced that prayer makes a difference and does change the tide of history. So if you are concerned about the course of present events, and the way they are all pointing to an impending national and global disaster, this is a way that each of us really can do something that will shape history, not according to the Devils plans for evil, but in fulfillment of the biblical vision of the Kingdom of God.
Join us in praying in what God wants to do and praying out what the devil wants to do.
Please pray for the PRMI team, as we are receiving the Holy Spirit’s guidance to create the practical program expressions that will enable every one of us, with our different gifts and callings, to take part in Jesus’ work within these five areas of prayer.
Pray for our strong protection and anointing of the Holy Spirit as we are called into the maelstrom of the advancement of the Kingdom of God over the powers of darkness in the heavenlies and on earth.
Pray in all the provision of finances and people, to develop these materials and programs in this great spiritual campaign.
Above all, pray for the manifestation of the presence and power of Jesus Christ in the Kingdom of God pervading and transforming every dimension of reality.
