Ecclesiastes 3 begins with the following words: “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.” We are truly entering a new season!

Heraclitus, the Greek philosopher is credited with the idea that the only constant in life is change. As Christians we would quickly add to that another constant: an assurance of the steadfast love of the Lord; His love is steadfast, it never changes (Psalm 136:3, among other places). This is true not just for individuals, but also for organizations.

We, The Rev. Dr. Brad Long, Executive Director, and I (The Rev. Rebekah Neumann, President of the Board of Directors) write to inform you of some changes within The International Executive Leadership Team (TIELT). Together with The Rev. Cindy Strickler, Director, and Head of Staff, we announce her retirement from all PRMI roles and responsibilities effective January 31, 2025.

Preparing for Transition

Because we all love Cindy so much, this is hard news to share! Let us follow this with good news. This is a planned for, well thought out retirement, and not one caused by any sudden onset of circumstances. For more than a year there has been, and continues to be, ongoing work around the structure of PRMI and its leadership team.

Are all of Cindy’s “hats” or functions filled? Honestly, they are not, but the work of insuring a smooth and orderly transition of responsibility, leadership and anointing, and vision continuity is well underway.

How You Can Support This Transition

By announcing this news now, we hope that you will step up and do the following:

  • Join us in prayer for the Lord to raise up people to assume the functions that Cindy has so admirably and ably filled.
  • Join us in praying for the Lord to sovereignly protect the ministry from attacks from the evil one.
  • Pray for the remaining members of TIELT: Brad, Martin, and Paul, along with staff members Jule Ann, Katie, Emily, Angie, and Victoria, they learn new ways of problem-solving and moving forward together without Cindy.
  • See this as an opportunity for God to move in our midst in amazing, new ways.
  • Celebrate with Cindy the good news of her retirement, and that in retirement she be released from the weight of responsibility and authority she has carried for these past 22 years.
  • Keep your eyes and ears open to how the Holy Spirit is moving to grow PRMI and its leadership team.
  • Share any words of knowledge, prophetic images, or observations about whom the Lord may be calling to fill roles and take on responsibilities by sending them along to Becki Neumann at These will be discerned by a committee and as is appropriate, passed on to TIELT.

Trusting in God’s Plan

At this time there are unknowns (to us); there are never unknowns to God, and we trust Him to lead and guide us. It is important to remain positively fixed on Him! Thus begins a new era of transition in the ministry; God is not surprised! Let us rejoice and look to Him with expectancy.

Future Celebrations

Watch for future announcements about celebrating Cindy, and all she has meant to the ministry as a whole and to each of us. We look forward to being able to truly rejoice as we say to our sister and friend, “Well done, good and faithful servant,” as we release her to enjoy retirement and contribute to the advance of the Kingdom in new and unexpected ways, including as a member of the DFI. Look for more information about that in future communications.
