2018 Summer Intern
I’m originally from St. Petersburg Florida and graduated in the Spring of 2018 with a BA in Practical Ministries and Theology with a Minor in Bible from Southeastern University. Previously, I worked as a Geek Squad Agent at a local Best Buy and was involved with Intervarsity Campus Ministry. I’ll be taking an internship with PRMI between May and November and hopefully become full time with PRMI.
I first got involved with PRMI in 2013 by attended the With-the-Wind young adult conference during the summer. During the conference I was met with a sense of community, discernment and wholeness that I hadn’t seen before.
People where working in tandem with Holy Spirit in a discerning/trusting manner which seemed so natural and effortless. I witnessed a community where peers balanced listening to the Holy Spirit with empathetic care for one another. I recall once struggling with identity and a leader affirmed me, prayed and then insisted that I spend time alone so Holy Spirit could ministry to me.
After that Summer I would return for DFI and Growing the Church with members of our Church. As time went on I could take some leadership roles and play percussion for worship. I found myself attending sometimes attending events without knowing exactly what it was about just to be present with the community.
I love telling people about this opportunity and what the ways Holy Spirit has used this ministry in my life. I believe the teaching, language and traditions of PRMI can help shape a healthier Church both emotionally and Spiritually.
My desire in life is to play drums and teach emotional intelligence. In fact, I elected to join with PRMI because discernment, a core practice in the ministry, is a huge part of emotional health. My dream is to help raise a generation of Christians who have can discern emotions, are self-aware, know how to take a sabbath and have the lower divorce rates.
