Hello – Chris & Catherine Knights here from Southampton, UK. We are members of the Dunamis Fellowship in Britain and Ireland.
We want to speak words of encouragement to you, particularly in response to your sense that God is moving in a new way at the moment. Here in our part of Southampton, there is a move amongst the evangelical churches to commit to 24/7 prayer. Initially this was going to happen from a single church base in the city, but the vision is changing to incorporate seven different churches in locations that are spread across the city. Each will become a base from which 24 hours of prayer are offered each week, so that together we cover the whole city in constant prayer. We ourselves have just committed our church to becoming the second church of the seven. We will be praying each week from Sunday evening to Monday evening, using a whole variety of prayer models.
Ours is a very urban location in which it is often difficult to find inspiration in the local environment. But, if God says that our context is good enough for Him to build a powerhouse of prayer, then we know that we have no right to question His instruction. The two of us did struggle for some months with our call to be here, but when we finally said ‘yes’, the doors started to open. But the devil is after us too right now as we join the battlefield. So please pray for us, as we pray for you.
PRMI online courses have been inspirational for us and started us on this new journey some two and a half years ago. Catherine has also been greatly helped by Dunamis healing prayers, offered to her by Lynne James and a small team here in England. So a big thank you for that support. God is using your work in so many hidden corners of the globe.
God bless, Chris & Catherine
