As we move into the second week of this 40 days of prayer for PRMI, the focus shifts from the waterfall of prayer to quiet pools of prayer. These represent the opportunity of encountering Jesus Christ in times of quiet reflection. Again each day during this prayer watch there will be a new post centred around three themes of Praise, Reflect and Pray.
Week 2: Quiet Pools of Prayer
Day 9
Praise
Praise the Lord for who he is: The God who is merciful

Reflect
Reflect upon his word: 1 John 3:11, 16-18 (NIV)
11For this is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another. 16This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. 17If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? 18Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
Pray
Pray as the Spirit leads…
- Lift up PRMI’s vision initiative of prayer
- Bless the many people who are involved in the work of prayer with PRMI
- Give thanks for the construction of the new Prayer House
- Pray that the Lord will establish a rhythm of prayer at the Community of the Cross
