Today is the fifth day of 40 days of prayer for PRMI.
Each day during this prayer watch there will be a new post centred around three themes of Praise, Reflect and Pray.
Praise: It is always good to begin by lifting up the Lord in praise. Each day there is a different attribute of God to focus upon.
Reflect: God’s Word is our foundation. Each day there is a verse or a short passage to reflect upon. Each of these scripture passages picks up on the weekly theme.
Pray: Let the Holy Spirit lead you as you pray for the ministry of PRMI. There are some suggestions for how to pray. If you include them that is great. If the Holy Spirit guides you in a different direction that is great too.
Week 1: The Waterfall of Prayer
Day 5
Praise the Lord for who he is…
- God our Advocate
My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin,
we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.
1 John 2:1(NIV)
Reflect upon his Word: Isaiah 40:29–31(NRSV)
29He gives power to the faint, and strengthens the powerless. 30Even youths will faint and be weary, and the young will fall exhausted; 31but those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.
Pray as the Spirit leads…
- Pray for God’s blessing on the mission outreach work in Central and Northern Europe
- Lift up the work being done in Estonia and pray for a greater hunger for the work of the Holy Spirit
- Pray for the Dunamis project developing in Belarus and give thanks for the materials being translated into Russian
- Ask the Lord to bless those working in the Czech Republic with more opportunities to pray and minister with people there
