In this final week of the prayer watch, the focus for prayer is the waves of prayer. There is a westward movement of the Holy Spirit which began at Pentecost in Jerusalem and is now returning there. As believers interact with these waves of the Holy Spirit we see the work of the great commission being furthered and God’s kingdom advanced.
Each day during this prayer watch there will be a new post centred around three themes of Praise, Reflect and Pray.
Week 6: Waves of Prayer
Day 40
Praise
Praise the Lord for who he is: The God who answers prayer
Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear. Isaiah 65:24 (NIV)
Reflect
Reflect upon his word: Acts 1:6–8 (NIV)
6Then they gathered around him and asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. 8But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
