In this final week of the prayer watch, the focus for prayer is the waves of prayer. There is a westward movement of the Holy Spirit which began at Pentecost in Jerusalem and is now returning there. As believers interact with these waves of the Holy Spirit we see the work of the great commission being furthered and God’s kingdom advanced.

Each day during this prayer watch there will be a new post centred around three themes of Praise, Reflect and Pray.

Week 6: Waves of Prayer

Day 36

Praise the Lord for who he is: God is our refuge and fortress

In God is my salvation and my glory; The rock of my strength, And my refuge, is in God. Psalm 62:7(NKJV)

Reflect upon his word: Acts 2:17–18 (NIV)

17“ ‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. 18Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.

Pray as the Spirit leads…

  • Pray for Dunamis Project 6: Listening Evangelism
  • Give thanks for the equipping people have received to engage in Listening Evangelism
  • Pray for people to be quick to respond to the Spirit’s prompts in their daily lives
  • Bless and empower your church to reach out with the love of Jesus

Please use the comments section to post your own reflections and prayers
