In this fifth week the focus of the prayer watch centres on the rivers of prayer. The work of prayer at the Community of the Cross does not remain in Black Mountain but reaches out to have a global impact in our world.

Each day during this prayer watch there will be a new post centred around three themes of Praise, Reflect and Pray.

Week 5: Rivers of Prayer

Day 34

Praise the Lord for who he is: The God of justice

Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever;  a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom. Psalm 45:6(NIV)

Reflect upon his word: Genesis 12:1–3 (NIV)

1The Lordhad said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. 2“I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. 3I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”

Pray as the Spirit leads…

  • Pray for God’s blessing and provision for the Growing the Church conference
  • Give thanks for the favour the book and conference has had among different denominations
  • Ask the Lord for transformed church congregations as a result of these conferences
  • Pray that the church would grow in the power of the Holy Spirit

Please use the comments section to post your own reflections and prayers
