In this fifth week the focus of the prayer watch centres on the rivers of prayer. The work of prayer at the Community of the Cross does not remain in Black Mountain but reaches out to have a global impact in our world.
Each day during this prayer watch there will be a new post centred around three themes of Praise, Reflect and Pray.
Week 5: Rivers of Prayer
Praise the Lord for who he is: The lifter of my head
But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. Psalm 3:3 (NIV)
Reflect upon his word:John 17:20–23 (NIV)
20“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message,21that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one—23I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
Pray as the Spirit leads…
- Praise God for the work which is being done in Latin America
- Give thanks for the growing hunger and excitement about Dunamis
- Pray for God’s blessing upon Young Life as they continue to reach out empowered by the Holy Spirit
- Pray for the establishment of new Dunamis Project tracks and for the Lord to raise up and equip leaders for these projects
