In this fifth week the focus of the prayer watch centres on the rivers of prayer. The work of prayer at the Community of the Cross does not remain in Black Mountain but reaches out to have a global impact in our world.
Each day during this prayer watch there will be a new post centred around three themes of Praise, Reflect and Pray.
Week 5: Rivers of Prayer
Day 29
Praise
Praise the Lord for who he is: The King of kings
which God will bring about in his own time—God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords,1 Timothy 6:15 (NIV)
Reflect
Reflect upon his word: Isaiah 56:6–7 (NRSV)
6And the foreigners who join themselves to the Lord, to minister to him, to love the name of the Lord, and to be his servants, all who keep the sabbath, and do not profane it, and hold fast my covenant— 7these I will bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer; their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.
