In this fourth week the focus of the prayer watch centres on streams of intercession. The Lord calls us to pray for the needs of others around us in intercession and at times calls us to stand in the gap for a person or a situation.
Each day during this prayer watch there will be a new post centred around three themes of Praise, Reflect and Pray.
Week 4: Streams of Intercession
Day 28
Praise
Praise the Lord for who he is: The God of miracles
You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples. Psalm 77:14 (NIV)
Reflect
Reflect upon his word: Exodus 32:11–14 (NIV)
11But Moses sought the favor of the Lordhis God. “Lord,” he said, “why should your anger burn against your people, whom you brought out of Egypt with great power and a mighty hand? 12Why should the Egyptians say, ‘It was with evil intent that he brought them out, to kill them in the mountains and to wipe them off the face of the earth’? Turn from your fierce anger; relent and do not bring disaster on your people. 13Remember your servants Abraham, Isaac and Israel, to whom you swore by your own self: ‘I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and I will give your descendants all this land I promised them, and it will be their inheritance forever.’ ” 14Then the Lordrelented and did not bring on his people the disaster he had threatened.
