In this fourth week the focus of the prayer watch centres on streams of intercession. The Lord calls us to pray for the needs of others around us in intercession and at times calls us to stand in the gap for a person or a situation.

Each day during this prayer watch there will be a new post centred around three themes of Praise, Reflect and Pray.

Praise

Praise the Lord for who he is: The God of victory

But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads in every place the fragrance that comes from knowing him. 2 Corinthians 2:14 (NRSV)

Reflect

Reflect upon his word: Colossians 4:2–6 (NIV)

2Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. 3And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. 4Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. 5Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. 6Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

Pray

Pray as the Spirit leads…

  • Give thanks for all the young adults who have been involved with the With the Wind program
  • Pray for more “millennials” to get involved with the ministry
  • Ask the Lord to bless those he is calling into leadership in this area
  • Pray that the Lord will raise up intercessors to pray for With the Wind

Please use the comments section to post your own reflections and prayers (we have updated the site so comments can now be recorded)
