In this fourth week the focus of the prayer watch centres on streams of intercession. The Lord calls us to pray for the needs of others around us in intercession and at times calls us to stand in the gap for a person or a situation.

Each day during this prayer watch there will be a new post centred around three themes of Praise, Reflect and Pray.

Praise

Praise the Lord for who he is: The everlasting Father

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 (NIV)

Reflect

Reflect upon his word: Isaiah 55:8-11 (NIV)

8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. 9“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. 10As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, 11so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
