As we move into the second week of this 40 days of prayer for PRMI, the focus shifts from the waterfall of prayer to quiet pools of prayer.
These represent the opportunity of encountering Jesus Christ in times of quiet reflection.
Again each day during this prayer watch there will be a new post centred around three themes of Praise, Reflect and Pray.
Week 2: Quiet Pools of Prayer
Day 12
Praise
Praise the Lord for who he is: Our deliverer
But I am poor and needy; hasten to me, O God! You are my help and my deliverer; O Lord, do not delay! Psalm 70:5 (NRSV)
Reflect
Reflect upon his word: Ephesians 1:17–19 (NIV)
17I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 18I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19and his incomparably great power for us who believe.
Pray
Pray as the Spirit leads…
- Pray God’s blessing upon the Jerusalem Prayer Endeavour
- Give thanks for the growing friendships and cooperation with the Messianic body of Messiah in the land
- Pray for a growing awareness of the tactical and strategic intercession which comes from onsite experience
- Pray for the planning and preparation needed for an international trip of this kind
