As we move into the second week of this 40 days of prayer for PRMI, the focus shifts from the waterfall of prayer to quiet pools of prayer. These represent the opportunity of encountering Jesus Christ in times of quiet reflection. Again each day during this prayer watch there will be a new post centred around three themes of Praise, Reflect and Pray.
Week 2: Quiet Pools of Prayer
Day 11
Praise
Praise the Lord for who he is: The God of all comfort
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 2 Corinthians 1:3 (NIV)
Reflect
Reflect upon his word: Ezekiel 36:26–27(NIV)
26I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.
Pray
Pray as the Spirit leads…
- Lift up the mission outreach work being done in Central Asia
- Pray for strength for church congregations which face growing governmental oppression
- Strengthen believers as they listen and cooperate with the Holy Spirit
- Pray for wisdom and discernment about where and when to go and teach
