As we move into the second week of this 40 days of prayer for PRMI, the focus shifts from the waterfall of prayer to quiet pools of prayer.
These represent the opportunity of encountering Jesus Christ in times of quiet reflection.
Again each day during this prayer watch there will be a new post centred around three themes of Praise, Reflect and Pray.
Week 2: Quiet Pools of Prayer
Day 10
Praise
Praise the Lord for who he is: The Great Shepherd
The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Psalm 23:1–3 (NIV)
Reflect
Reflect upon his word: Colossians 1:9-12 (NIV)
9For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, 10so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, 11being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, 12and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.
Pray
Pray as the Spirit leads…
- Give thanks for the hundreds of people who have been impacted by the Dunamis project in Indonesia during the past 10 years.
- Pray for wisdom in how to respond to the increasing number of calls for teaching
- Pray for revival within the Reformed churches of Indonesia
- Pray for a breakthrough in the strongholds which are seen in this region of the world
