Today is the first day of 40 days of prayer for PRMI.
Each day during this prayer watch there will be a new post centred around three themes of Praise, Reflect and Pray.
Praise: It is always good to begin by lifting up the Lord in praise. Each day there is a different attribute of God to focus upon.
Reflect: God’s Word is our foundation. Each day there is a verse or a short passage to reflect upon. Each of these scripture passages picks up on the weekly theme.
Pray: Let the Holy Spirit lead you as you pray for the ministry of PRMI. There are some suggestions for how to pray. If you include them that is great. If the Holy Spirit guides you in a different direction that is great too.
Week 1: The Waterfall of Prayer
Praise the Lord for who he is…
- God the Creator
“Blessed be your glorious name, and may it be exalted above all blessing and praise. You alone are the Lord. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you. Nehemiah 9:5-6 (NIV)
Reflect upon his Word: Psalm 100(NIV)
A Psalm, for giving grateful praise.
1Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. 2Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. 3Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. 4Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. 5For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
Pray as the Spirit leads…
- Pray for the work of the Dunamis Fellowship International as it mobilizes, equips and deploys Holy Spirit-empowered witnesses to participate in the worldwide movement of the Holy Spirit which is advancing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and extending the Kingdom of God.
