Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. (Philippians 4:4-6)
God was clear in His message to me.
He said, “I want you to stop being anxious and have joy in the journey.”
Also, He was clear that I was to deliver the message to our friends gathered at this year’s Dunamis Fellowship International annual meeting. I did.
That’s not all He said about addressing the group…He asked me to praise Him for His provision and to encourage our donors.
He gave me the following passages.
I will extol the Lord at all times; His praise will always be on my lips. My soul will boast in the Lord; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt His name together. (Psalm 34:1-3)
A gift opens the way for the giver and ushers him into the presence of the great. (Proverbs 18:16)
The Lord is very generous with PRMI. He encourages PRMI donors—His children—to give gifts of all sizes so His Kingdom may advance. Every gift is important to His plan. To Him be all praise.
God expects us to walk in obedience. We are not perfect but still He uses us to accomplish His purposes.
Thank you for being obedient in giving. Your faithfulness enables God’s wonderful provision to PRMI.
Just as you join in the dance of cooperation, so PRMI joins in the dance of cooperation. God leads the dance.
In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps. (Proverbs 16:9)
His plan will be achieved.
It was most difficult for me to receive the “joy in the journey” part of His message. He made sure to highlight its importance in my heart and mind.
Fundraising can result in a great deal of anxiety. Waiting on provision can cause worry about whether there will be enough funds. That’s not God’s desire. He says not to be anxious. He says to rejoice. We must be joyful in the journey.
And, we must pray. You do not have because you do not ask. (James 4:2b)
Please pray for the entire PRMI staff. Especially, ask the Lord to bless us with a spirit of rejoicing for all the good and perfect gifts He gives to us. Please pray we will not be anxious. Please pray we continually have joy.
As always, please pray that the Lord will continue to generously provide. Ask that His kingdom would greatly expand as a result of the Dunamis teaching going around the world. We serve for His glory.
