During the ten days between the Ascension Day of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit coming at Pentecost, Luke tells us that the believers gathered to pray.
They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.Acts 1:14 (NIV)
Since PRMI focuses on the person and work of the Holy Spirit and as a ministry we prioritize prayer, we want to use the ten days between Ascension Day and Pentecost to pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
For 2019, that is May 30 to June 9.
Imagine the impact of praying for the advancement of the Dunamis teaching around the world, to ignite the church in the power of the Holy Spirit.
We’ll pray for you and believers around the world to grow in cooperation with the Holy Spirit.
We’ll pray for the Holy Spirit to empower us to be witnesses for Jesus Christ and for the Holy Spirit to be at work in our churches, communities, denominations, and nations.
We will hold online prayer meetings each day during the ten days to pray and prepare for Pentecost.
To focus prayer during these 10 days, a leader will follow a guide we have prepared to help to launch people into prayer.
Pray with the Global PRMI Family
One of the Jewish practices of prayer was to pray three times a day. We see Daniel model this in Daniel 6:10. Peter was on his way to the temple to pray at the time of prayer when he encountered a crippled beggar (Acts 3)
The church through the ages has developed the daily office with specific times set aside each day to pray.
In keeping with this idea there will be three opportunities each day to gather and pray. Calls will last about 1 hour each.
We choose these particular times to accommodate the various regional expressions of the Dunamis Fellowship International.
|Time 1||10:00 am||6:00 am||3:00 pm||11:00 pm|
|Time 2||4:00 pm||12:00 pm||9:00 pm||5:00 am|
|Time 3||9:00 pm||5:00 pm||2:00 am||10:00 am|
This should provide at least one opportunity for anyone to join in praying at a time which is reasonably convenient for them.
If you are new to PRMI, you are welcome to join. You don’t have to have been at one of our events, a member of the Dunamis Fellowship, or even on our e-mailing list.
