Cindy-DFII was ordained in 1986 by the PC(USA) as Interim Pastor of the Englishtown Presbyterian Church, Englishtown, NJ. From 1987 to 1991, I served as chaplain to several nursing homes and programs in central Jersey.  In 1991 I was hired by Somerset Medical Center as the Director of Pastoral Care. In this position, I served as chaplain to a 350-bed community medical center. I also served as a religious consultant to the hospital Bio-Ethics Committee and did a lot of speaking in the community on issues related to biomedical ethics, death and dying, lay visitor training, and spirituality and healing.  I am a certified ACPE supervisor and supervised 8-10 students each year at the hospital (seminary students and others interested in pastoral care and chaplaincy) as well as many volunteers who assisted in hospital visitation.

I have been involved with PRMI since 1991 when I attended the first Dunamis Project in Lake George, NY. I joined the Board of Directors of PRMI in 1997 and served on the Executive Committee for 3 years and as President for one. Since 1994 I have been teaching Gateways to Empowered Ministry as well as the Dunamis Projects on Healing, Spiritual Gifts and Spiritual Warfare. In September 2002 I joined the staff of PRMI and am the Director of the Dunamis Fellowship International. My primary role is to help members of the Fellowship identify and use their gifts for ministry. There are over 450 members of the DFI worldwide. I oversee the international regional expressions of the DFI and work to support their growth.

I was born in New Jersey, the third of four daughters. My father was an executive with Exxon and we lived overseas for 10 years while I was growing up. I graduated from high school in Brussels, Belgium and then attended Wellesley College. I graduated in 1978 with a BA in Religion and Biblical Studies and a minor in Psychology, Phi Beta Kappa. I worked for four years after college in business, before attending seminary. I graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1986 with a M.Div. degree.
