We are excited you're here. Presbyterian-Reformed Ministries International was established in 1966 and has undergone many changes over the years.
This ministry is part of the great wave of the Holy Spirit that is advancing the Gospel of Jesus Christ world wide. Our historic roots are in the Presbyterian and Reformed stream of the Christian Faith but we are called to serve the whole Church of Jesus Christ. Our members and participants come from many different denominational back grounds. We are as international, cross cultural, and multi-racial as the Kingdom of God. We are not a church nor a denomination but are committed to serving the Church, the Body of Christ.
We equip and train lay leaders and clergy all over the world from every denomination to do the work God has called them to in the name of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. We do this with a stellar faculty of teachers that deliver over 40 years of experience and training through our Dunamis Projects, Ignite!, conferences, Advanced Courses, the Dunamis Video series and our new Duanmis Institute. We encourage you to look around this site or come pray with us at the Community of the Cross in Black Mountain, NC.
Our Areas Of Ministry
Prayer Prayer is what undergirds everything PRMI does. It provides the foundation upon which ministry moves forward and the Kingdom of God advances. If you are in need of prayer, please visit our online Prayer Center and submit your prayer request. Our team of intercessors will start praying for you and your needs.
Leadership Development One of the goals of PRMI is to help train and equip pastors and leaders to do the work of ministry through the power of the Holy Spirit. We provide numerous courses, conferences and advanced courses to achieve that goal.
Growing The Church It is our passion to see congregations on fire with faith in Jesus Christ, growing in dynamic loving fellowship, and empowered with the Holy Spirit for outreach and missions.
Mission Outreach Jesus has called us to share His Good News with all nations and take the Gospel to the very ends of the earth. PRMI has numerous opportunities and mission trips planned around the world.
Community Of the Cross - A Place Of Encounter With Jesus Christ The Community of the Cross is a ministry of PRMI and is staffed by the members of the Dunamis Fellowship. It is located on 24 acres of land in the mountains of Western North Carolina and it provides the spiritual support base for our involvement in the worldwide advancement of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Youth We believe that the youth ( High School - College age ) are the future in helping us advance the Kingdom of God. We devote an entire leadership camp called Upward Challenge held every summer in Black Mountain, NC to equipping and empowering the leaders of tomorrow..
The Dunamis Institute
The Dunamis Institute is under development and will provide the frame work under which the PRMI Equipping Ministries will be administered, developed and further extended.
The Institute has the following mission:
- To function like a university to insure the long term integrity of our Dunamis teaching and to get it around the world where the Holy Spirit is moving to advance the Gospel.
- Preserving the Dunamis equipping legacy and imparting it to this and future generations, so that Christians may be equipped according to Acts 1:4-5,8; 2:17-18; 2:38-39 to grow the Church and fulfill the great commission.
- The Dunamis curriculum and pedagogical approach is intended to provide, transferable, intellectual/l academic and personal knowledge based on the eternal Word of God. That puts both lay people and clergy in the dynamic of cooperating the Holy Spirit to grow the Church and advance the reality of the Kingdom of God in the world.
- To equip an international faculty who embody the reality of the Kingdom of God and be anointed by the Holy Spirit to grow disciples of Jesus Christ.
The Dunamis Project
The Dunamis Project was conceived as a program for systematic leadership development when Brad Long became Executive Director of PRMI in 1989. Dr. Long gathered a team to pray and develop the overall design and contents for the Dunamis Project.
A series of six Dunamis Project events, held in a given geographic location is called a Dunamis Track. The six events are:
- Gateways to Empowered Ministry - on the person and work of the Holy Spirit
- In the Spirit’s Power - on cooperating with the Holy Spirit through the gifts of the Holy Spirit
- The Power of Prayer - about growing in intimacy with Jesus and learnig to pray
- The Healing Ministry of Jesus - about all forms of healing
- Equipping for Spiritual Warfare and Kingdom Advancement - deals with the reality of the demonic and trains people in personal deliverance ministry, discernment and high level spiritual warfare
- Listening Evangelism - on missions and evangelism based on listening to the Holy Spirit and stepping out in obedience.
