 From 1991 until now the PRMI Leadership Development Initiative has primarily been expressed through the Dunamis Project. This was originally the six intensive equipping events that were held every six months in a strategic location.
From its inception to the present under the mandate of the Dunamis Project there has been the development of many different teaching materials based on the foundations established in the original six units.
This includes published books, videos, and different expressions for different venues such as advanced ministry courses and Ignite for local congregations. Enabling the implementation the Dunamis teaching in many different contexts led to the formation of the Dunamis Fellowship in 2002. All teachers in the Dunamis Project must be active members of the Dunamis Fellowship which insures that they are grounded in both Biblical Doctrine as well embody the Kingdom of God.
This whole equipping initiative has out grown its original container of the Dunamis Project and now is part of all that PRMI does. Dunamis tracks have been or are being offered in a number of locations in North America, UK , Asia, Africa and Latin America. Thousands of people have been through the equipping process and are working to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit in their various contexts. From home groups, to congregations, to mission organizations.

The Institute has the following mission:
- To function like a university to insure the long term integrity of our Dunamis teaching and to get it around the world where the Holy Spirit is moving to advance the Gospel.
- Preserving the Dunamis equipping legacy and imparting it to this and future generations, so that Christians may be equipped according to Acts 1:4-5,8; 2:17-18; 2:38-39 to grow the Church and fulfill the great commission.
- The Dunamis curriculum and pedagogical approach is intended to provide, transferable, intellectual/l academic and personal knowledge based on the eternal Word of God. That puts both lay people and clergy in the dynamic of cooperating the Holy Spirit to grow the Church and advance the reality of the Kingdom of God in the world.
- To equip an international faculty who embody the reality of the Kingdom of God and be anointed by the Holy Spirit to grow disciples of Jesus Christ.
The Dunamis Institute is under development and will provide the frame work under which the Following PRMI Equipping Ministries will be administered, developed and further extended.
Level One : Introductory Courses and Events
Fulfilling Acts 1:8 The beginning place for growing in the power of the Holy Spirit to serve Jesus Christ
A. The Alpha Course facilitated in small group settings with meals.
Offered in English and being translated into several other languages. Alpha is an opportunity to explore the meaning of life in a relaxed, friendly setting. Much like the Dunamis Video Course, the Alpha course usually meets once per week for 10 weeks, and includes an amazing one-day or weekend getaway. Each session, people enjoy great food, laughter and learning in a fun and friendly atmosphere where no question about life or God is seen as too simple or too hostile…questions like—Is there a God? Why am I here? Where did I come from? Where am I going?

B. The Dunamis Video Course facilitated in congregations and/or moderated online.
Offered in English. Currently being developed in Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, Korean. Usually ten weeks, with a workbook, video lessons, discussion forum, prayer and practical application. There is no fee for these courses. Students are invited to share in making this teaching available to others through prayer and financial gifts to the Institute. A simple registration process is required to access the courses.
- Gateways to Empowered Ministry: Introduces the basic teaching on the Person and work of the Holy Spirit.
- In the Spirit's Power: Explores the dynamic of cooperating with the Holy Spirit in doing the work of Jesus Christ.
- The Power of Prayer: Introduces the basic biblical principles of doing the work of intercessory prayer that shapes the future.
- Listening Evangelism: Practical teaching on how to share our faith in Jesus Christ led by the Holy Spirit who does the work of leading us in what to say and opens the doors into the hearts of others.
Other expressions for congregations as needed and developed that are based on the core Dunamis teaching
C. Introductory Events based on core material from the Dunamis Project
Offered in Canada, USA and UK. There is no fee for these events, although there may be costs associated with some venues. Offerings are invited at all events towards expenses.
- Just Dance! Teaching and prayer for receiving the Holy Spirit upon for power. Led by an anointed facilitator.
- Ignite! For congregations ‐ Weekend events on the person and work of the Holy Spirit, cooperating with the Holy Spirit, or the power of prayer. (Online versions being developed)
- Upward Challenge For Youth ‐ In an outdoor environment, youth growing as empowered, effective disciples of Jesus Christ. There are currently USA and UK versions of this being run.
